Data to Value has been around since the 1st of January 2019. Originally founded as “Rick Dronkers Consultancy”, I started freelancing after leaving my role as the Director of Analytics at a large Google Premier Agency in The Netherlands. The entrepreneurial itch was too big to ignore, and I felt that “this whole Cloud thing might actually be something” and was worth the plunge into entrepreneurship. Fast-forward to today, and we have a ambitious group of remarkable consultants that are all eager to turn Data into Value.
The name Data to Value originated from a slide deck I once made for our junior trainees at my former employer. I highlighted:
“Data Collection has no value, Data Transformation has no value, Data Analysis has no value. Only when somebody or something takes action and makes a change in the world, value can be created.”
This remains the core of our philosophy to this day. In the end, we’re doing this to create some form of value, and that value does not come from reports & dashboards collecting dust. That’s just very expensive data.
We’ve been working fully remote since our inception in 2019. When COVID-19 happened, we where well prepared and suddenly all of our clients also got a taste of the remote life, which made things even easier. We carefully select our people and make sure they’ve been productive and happy with remote work before they join Data to Value, and possess certain character traits that help.
We also have a senior-only hiring policy at Data to Value. We believe that in order to build a well functioning fully-remote consultancy you have to rely on senior talent that can work independently. This also sets us apart from the competition, where leveraging junior talent is often a go-to move to boost agency profitability. If you partner with us, you always work with your dedicated senior consultant.
We’ve specialized our efforts and focus mainly on the Google Marketing Platform and Google Cloud Platform with our services. By applying this focus, we’re able to stay up-to-date about all relevant updates and make sure we extract the most out of these platforms.
